In diesem eindringlichen Programm treffen drei außergewöhnliche Künstlerpersönlichkeiten aufeinander: die visionäre Flötistin Marina Piccinini, der Grammy-prämierte Tenor Karim Sulayman und der genreübergreifende Gitarrist Sean Shibe. Gemeinsam begeben sie sich auf eine musikalische Reise durch Lieder aus aller Welt – in einem intimen, klanglich reichen Rahmen.

Inspiriert von Broken Branches, dem gefeierten Album von Sulayman und Shibe, erweitert diese neue Zusammenarbeit mit Piccinini das Repertoire um eine weitere poetische Stimme. Die Auswahl spannt einen Bogen von frühbarocken Liedern über sephardische, arabische und libanesische Volksweisen bis hin zu den eindringlichen Rhythmen Argentiniens und Südamerikas sowie den lyrischen Klanglandschaften Englands. Lieder der Erde ist eine Reise durch die geteilte menschliche Erfahrung – dorthin, wo Musik zur Brücke wird zwischen Zeiten, Kulturen und gelebter Geschichte.

Inspired by Broken Branches, the acclaimed album by Sulayman and Shibe, this expanded collaboration weaves together music that traces the threads of exile, memory, and belonging. From early Baroque songs to Sephardic, Arab, and Lebanese folk traditions, and from the haunting rhythms of Argentina and South America to the lyrical landscapes of England, Lieder der Erde offers a journey through the shared human experience — where music becomes a bridge across time, culture, and geography.
