Tomorrow: A thought before the concert
"The thoughts which are expressed to me by music that I love are not too indefinite to be put into words, but on the contrary, too definite."
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy to Marc-André Souchay, Berlin, 15 October 1842
For a week we have been telling you about this music. Today we take Mendelssohn at his word and set the words aside.
Whatever moves us in this programme cannot be said more precisely than Marie-Elisabeth Hecker and Martin Helmchen will play it tomorrow. We are so looking forward to sharing this evening with you.
Warmly, see you tomorrow
